The tour starts at Golden gate of the palace – a perfect setting for a morning run. As you run, our guide will share with you interesting facts about the city history and anecdotes so it is an excellent way to get a true feel of Split. Pace of the run is usually between 5.30 – 6.00 min/km but we can adjust our pace to some extent.

Peristil: Central square of the Palace, Diocletian’s former entry hall. Vestibule: Former entrance to the residential part of the palace, used only for selected audience such as ambassadors. Jupiter’s Temple: Temple built around the 3d century to honor the cult of Jupiter – god of sky and thunder in Roman mythology. Pusti me proć (“let me through” alley): One of the narrowest streets in the world. Only one person at the time can pass through it.

Fish market: Secession style building with ironworks and white stone slabs displaying the fish. Marmont street: A popular pedestrian street, right outside the palace walls. The largest walking street in city center. Prokurative: A large open square built in the 19th century, inspired by architecture in Italy during the time of construction. Riva (seaside promenade): One of the most interesting and most specific sites in the Mediterranean. It offers breathtaking views of the harbor and the Adriatic islands. Varoš: Medieval part of town located in the historic core of Split with charming stone houses typical for Mediteranean architecture.
